Zero Through Nine is delighted to release the new EP from Geelong via Footscray singer-producer Leaks. ‘Jaunt’, charts the gradual crossing from ambiguity, to reassurance, to comfort, blurring the lines between a breakup record and a love record.
Inspired by artists such as Mount Kimbie, Maribou State and King Krule. Leaks, real name Thomas Guida, uses a variety of unique decaying beats, beautiful harmony blends, and distinctive vocals to create the eccentric mixture of electronic, dub and new wave R’n’B music.
New single ‘Could I Be’ is written as a conversation between a pair as they discuss the cognitive state of one individual. Made up from a delicate balance of R’n’B sounds and dance music influences that evolve through the course of the track, ‘Could I BE’ manages to remain emotive and thought provoking, whilst still boasting a groove perfect for dancing to.
“Leaks has been working along this style for a couple of years now, but this EP sounds like he’s developed on his potential and is on the verge of breakout.”
“His talent as a beatmaker truly shine”
“Settle in for this one… it’s a beautiful journey”

“hooked on his mix of glacial electronic coolness…So nice to hear an Australian take on the kind of intimate electronic sound that I’ve come to so strongly identify with British artists”
“What sets Guida’s work apart from a number of other up-and-comers is his confidence displayed in hazy, honest vocals — a clear highlight on this latest work”
– Indie Shuffle
